OUR VOWS

Writing our vows was easily one of the tasks on our to-do list with the most pressure. We wanted every word to be meaningful. We wanted to promise each other the world without being super cheesy. Plus we wanted to have somewhat of a similar structure. So hard to do when we wanted to keep it a surprise! Regardless, I think we ended up with the perfect set of vows that captured the hopes, promises, and future our relationship in a few phrases. Agh it makes me so emotional every time I read them! Hope our vows inspire you!

HIS VOWS

Jess,

You are my best friend for life. The one I will live with, dream with, and love forever.

You are the most beautiful, caring, passionate, and entertaining person I have ever met.

I love you not only for who you are, but for who you've helped me become. You make me want to be better everyday.

I knew I liked you after the first time we met. I knew I loved you after being without you while I was overseas a couple years ago. I knew I wanted to marry you after we spent time together with our families, and I imagined having my own family with you.

Jess, as my wife:

I promise that I will love, honor, and cherish you every single day. I will laugh with you when you are happy and comfort you when you are sad.

I promise to encourage and inspire you and allow you to do the same for me. I will always motivate you to achieve everything you desire in life.

I promise to always fulfill your hunger needs. I will make you buffalo chicken for the rest of our lives.

I promise to be the best father of our children because I know you will be the best mother.

I promise not only to listen, but to hear, not only to be honest, but to trust, and not only to love, but to be loved.

I promise to always promote your jokes. You may think I'm stealing them, but I'm only sharing them for the world to hear.

I promise to continue falling for you over and over again for the rest of our lives.

I promise to continue falling for you over and over again for the rest of our lives.

Jess, I love you so much and couldn't be more excited that you are becoming my wife today.

HER VOWS

Drew,

Not only are you my soulmate and the love of my life, you're my best friend.

You are the only whose presence can turn my day around. Who listens, understands, and guides me. You're everything I have ever dreamed of in a husband.

Everything has always been so simple with you; meeting you, falling for you, love you, starting a life with you.

Today I give you all that I am and all that I have.

As your wife,

I promise to nurture an overwhelming love that grows and challenges us.

I promise to use God and his will as a compass to navigate our journey, as He is the designer of our love.

I promise to be patient, honest, forgiving, and to always try to warn you before I get hangry.

I promise to care for you, to stand by you and stand up for you, to laugh with you and laugh at you.

I promise to be your source of strength and comfort, especially when Michigan State loses.

I promise to never lose sight of all the qualities that drew me to you. I will continue to admire your strong, gentle, and compassionate heart. I will respect and cherish you for all that you are and all that you will be.

I promise to build a home with you filled with laughter, love, and little ones that will never doubt our infinite love.

I promise wherever life may take us and how many years go by, to always love you as much as I do in this moment.

I promise wherever life may take us and how many years go by, to always love you as much as I do in this moment.

I promise that both when our love is simple and when it's an effort, I will always choose you.

I choose you as my friend, my partner, and my husband, for the rest of my life.
